Description: An amateur group performing the social dances of the period from 1450 to 1650. We can perform either to taped music or we can supply our own musicians. The group is primarily drawn from living history/re-enactment groups and so is also available for living history events.

Description: The Cultural Association of Modena Balletto Estense is a non-profit organisation focusing on the study, research, choreographic reconstruction and teaching of early dance of all periods. Its purpose is the promotion of art, culture and social events. The group organizes classes, workshops, performances in early costume. It produces teaching papers on early dance for schools and teachers.

Description: The Ensemble Chorea Historica was founded in September 2000 under the professional leadership of Doc. Eva Kröschlová. The basis of their activity stays henceforth a reconstruction of authentic choreographies of the early and later Renaissance dance masters (Domenico da Piacensa, Guglielmo Ebreo, Fabritio Caroso, Thoinot Arbeau, Cesare Negri a.o.) Eva Kröschlová was instructed by such distinguished specialists as Barbara Sparti, Dorothée Wortelboer, Véronique Daniels, Jane Gingel u. a. She also choreographs new works based on historical compositions.

Description: Dance Revels performs 16th century dance and commedia dell'arte. They have performed actively since 1991. Artistic director/dance historian is Jane Peck. Performances always include live music. They offer a variety of experiences , including performances of the ballroom and the theater dance of the 16th c., workshops for both amateur dancers and professionals, and school shows. Dance Revels also offers the above options in folk dance of Brittany, France, much of which dates to the time of the Renaissance. Our other performing material includes Baroque dance, dances of the fur trade era of the upper Midwest, and Regency/Empire dance. Call or e-mail for more info.

Description: Il Leoncello, Scuola e gruppo di danza storica, researches and performs historical dances from XIV to XVIII century. The association was founded in Legnano (Milan) in 1993 and it is directed by Alessandro Pontremoli and Patrizia la Rocca. The group organizes courses, workshops and seminars on historical dances. The performing group of the Leoncello performs historical dances from the XIV to XVIII Century with costumes and original instruments, in historical squares, buildings and theatres.

Description: v.z.w. Passo Ostinato is a Belgian association of twelve men and women who reconstruct and perform Burgundian, Spanish, French and especially Italian Renaissance dances and courtly dances from the 15th and 16th centuries. Led by professional choreographer Lieven Baert, the group performs in historical costume, regularly organising performances and workshops in theatres, castles and castle gardens.

Description: The Società di Danza researches and performs Nineteenth Century and historical dances. The association was founded in Bologna in 1991 and it is directed by Fabio Mollica. It is now in various cities in Italy including Modena, Pisa, Faenza, Imola and Livorno. We collect and publish books and papers on historical dances, and run a training school for teachers (from 1993), a historical dance school (from 1994), and organize workshops, seminars and international schools on historical dances (from 1992). The performing group of the Societa' di Danza does historical dances from the XV to the XIX Century with costumes in historical squares, buildings and theatres.
